NYET II is a shareware Tetris clone for MS-DOS made by Proline Software.
Gameplay
The game has 100 rounds, most of which have various gimmicks. Each round is cleared after making a given number of lines.
After every 5 rounds a bonus round occurs, in which the player has to try to make a perfect clear using a given piece sequence.
Getting a 4-line clear will give half a "nobby". Up to 3 full nobbys can be stored at a time. Nobbys can be used for special abilities using the F5 to F8 keys:
- F5: 5000 points (1 nobby)
- F6: Delete the bottom 4 rows (1 nobby)
- F7: Disable all gimmicks for the current round (1 nobby)
- F8: Clear the round instantly (2 nobbys)
Nobby are not awarded during bonus rounds.
Scoring
Each piece earns 10 points times the height at which it lands (counting the bottom as 1). 4-line clears earn 2500 points, while other line clears do not give points.
At the end of the round a bonus is given equal to 100 points times the number of empty rows starting from the top. If the field is empty an additional 5000 points is awarded.
