東方武闘外伝 (Touhou Battle Gaiden) is a clone of Bullet Proof Software's Tetris Battle Gaiden, created by 夏季限定 (Summer Limit). It stars Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, Sakuya Izayoi, Youmu Konpaku, Reisen Udongein Inaba, Aya Shameimaru and Cirno, and various other characters make appearances throughout the game.
Gameplay
Both players draw from the same 3 piece preview. The player who places the next piece gets the next one at the top.
Some tetrominos have orbs in them. Players must clear a line containing a orbs to collect it. Since the pieces are shared, players must play strategically to get pieces with orbs, and leave the ones without orbs for the opponent.
Each character has their own special abilities, which can only be activated through the use of orbs.
Story
Something about lost moon artifacts being hunted down by the characters.
